From SEO fixes to full e-commerce transformation and ongoing digital growth

Client Overview

Swedish Door specializes in high-quality custom cabinet doors and panels designed to fit IKEA kitchens. In 2022, they partnered with U7 Solutions, where I led the digital marketing strategy. What started as a focused SEO and analytics mandate quickly grew into a multi-year transformation: a full Shopify-to-WooCommerce migration, multiple redesigns, and ongoing digital marketing and analytics support.


The Challenge

When Swedish Door came to us, their website faced several major obstacles:

  • Technical debt – slow site speed, broken links, and outdated architecture blocking SEO growth.

  • Outdated design & UX – navigation and forms weren’t user-friendly, causing conversion drop-offs.

  • E-commerce limitations – Shopify setup couldn’t handle complex product variations or wholesale needs.

Limited measurement – analytics tracking was inconsistent, making it hard to attribute results or scale campaigns.


My Role & Our Solution

As Marketing Director at U7, I oversaw strategy and reporting while guiding our web, design, and analytics teams to execute a phased transformation.

1. SEO & Technical Foundations (2022)

  • Implemented GA4 + GTM for robust goal and event tracking.

  • Fixed speed issues (compression, caching, CSS/JS optimization).

  • Cleaned up indexing errors, HTTPS/HTTP conflicts, and duplicate metadata.

  • Redesigned navigation, homepage, and catalogue templates for stronger SEO + UX.

2. Shopify → WooCommerce Migration (2023)

  • Directed the full platform migration, ensuring SEO equity transfer.

  • Developed custom product pages and catalogue flows.

  • Integrated Nuvei payments, custom shipping rules, and advanced checkout features (“save for later,” wishlist).

  • Migrated and optimized thousands of product variations for scalability.

3. Website Enhancements & Marketing (2024–2025)

  • Guided ongoing landing page optimization (“Get Started,” IKEA bundles, Akurum shop).

  • Added custom catalogue filters, mega menus, and advanced product discovery features.

  • Led Google Ads strategy with ongoing keyword/CPC optimization and conversion tracking.

  • Oversaw email automation (onboarding flows, promotions).

  • Delivered holistic Looker Studio dashboards consolidating web, ads, and email KPIs.
